Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using Korsyl. By registering or continuing to use Korsyl, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Korsyl Search Engine ("Korsyl", the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

2. Eligibility & Age

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create your own Korsyl account.
  • Users under 18 may access Korsyl only through a parent-managed Family Account created by a parent or legal guardian.
  • You must be at least 17 years old to apply for jobs on the Korsyl Job Board.
  • By registering, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and that you meet the applicable age requirements.

3. Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
  • One person may hold only one Korsyl account (excluding child accounts under a Family plan).
  • Account sharing is not permitted.
  • Usernames may not impersonate another person, business, or brand.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Korsyl to:

  • Post, transmit, or link to illegal, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise harmful content.
  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the Service.
  • Harvest, scrape, or collect user data from the Service without our written consent.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) against the user-facing portions of the Service without permission.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, or network connected to Korsyl.
  • Transmit spam, unsolicited communications, or malware.
  • Engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading conduct.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.

5. Job Board Rules

The Korsyl Job Board allows approved employers to post job listings and users aged 17+ to apply for them.

  • All job listings are reviewed by Korsyl before being published.
  • Listings that are illegal, discriminatory, misleading, or otherwise in breach of these Terms will be rejected or suspended.
  • Applicants consent to sharing their name and application message with the employer. Email addresses are not shared without explicit mutual consent.
  • Employers and applicants must communicate respectfully. Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behaviour will result in account termination.
  • All conversations on the platform are logged for safety purposes.

6. Employer Obligations

Approved employers additionally agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information when registering as an employer and when posting listings.
  • Respond to applicant messages within 20 days of receipt. Failure to respond may result in automatic listing suspension.
  • Answer all public Q&A questions on a listing within 20 days. Unanswered questions may result in listing suspension.
  • Not solicit off-platform contact or personal details (phone, email) until both parties have agreed to proceed to interview stage.
  • Ensure all listings comply with applicable employment law, including non-discrimination requirements.
  • Not post listings for illegal, unsafe, or exploitative positions.
  • Accept that Korsyl may suspend or permanently remove employer access for any breach of these obligations.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create or upload to Korsyl. By submitting content, you grant Korsyl a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and deliver that content for the purpose of operating the Service.

You are solely responsible for the content you submit. Korsyl does not endorse user-submitted content and reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.

8. Korsyl Drive

  • Korsyl Drive provides personal cloud storage subject to the quota of your current plan.
  • You may only upload files you have the right to store.
  • You must not use Drive to store or distribute illegal content, malware, or material that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
  • Files moved to Trash do not count toward your available storage until permanently deleted.
  • Korsyl reserves the right to remove files that violate these Terms without prior notice.
  • Drive storage quotas are set by your subscription plan and may change with plan upgrades or downgrades.

9. Family Accounts

  • Adults may create child accounts for family members under their plan's family limit.
  • The adult account holder is responsible for all activity on child accounts under their Family plan.
  • Parents may view and clear child search history. They are encouraged to discuss appropriate use with their children.
  • Child accounts are automatically promoted to adult accounts when the account holder turns 18 at their next login.
  • Korsyl Drive storage is shared across all family members under the parent's plan quota.

10. Intellectual Property

The Korsyl name, logo, and all proprietary software, design, and content are owned by Korsyl and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, modify, or redistribute Korsyl's intellectual property without our prior written consent.

11. Termination

Korsyl may suspend or terminate your account at any time for breach of these Terms, without prior notice.

You may delete your own account at any time from Settings β†’ Privacy β†’ Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 7, 10, 12, and 13 survive termination.

12. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Korsyl disclaims all warranties including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Korsyl is not liable for:

  • Content posted by third parties, including job listings, reviews, or Q&A responses.
  • The conduct of employers or applicants in connection with jobs found on Korsyl.
  • Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
  • Temporary service outages or data loss beyond our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by displaying a notice on the Korsyl homepage. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
